If you are a Native American student seeking a scholarship for almost any educational opportunity, you have come to the right place. If you're looking for a school grant, head over to our School Grants page.
Our scholarship program is open to applicants interested in attending four-year colleges, graduate schools, community colleges, vocational schools, art schools, and other educational institutions. If your application makes the case that you are talented and serious about continuing your education in any form, we are serious in trying to lend a hand.
If you are in high school and are interested in a summer program that you feel will help prepare you for your education after high school, we also encourage you to apply.
We're glad you found us. We can't wait to read your application.
One of the Southwest Native American Foundation's primary goals is to assist high school seniors who are matriculating to college with scholarships. Since 2004, SWNAF has granted over $500,000 in scholarships to talented and deserving Native-American high school students. We believe strongly that these awards help a college freshman with the transition to university life. This year, we hope to add even more scholarship opportunities.
Over the years, SWNAF has been honored to grant scholarships for students to attend summer programs, vocational schools, community colleges, and universities. We have presented scholarships to students from the following tribes and more: Hopi, Tewa, Ute, Navajo, Apache, Yavapai, Arapaho, Tohono O’odham, Lakota, Sioux, Yuma, Pima, Zuni, Pueblo, Hualapai and Havasupai.
